Travelodge Bradford

When we arrived after a funeral, we had a few problems, but Keilan, a very polite young man, sorted them out with empathy and respect. He was professional and kind, and his help made us feel much better. The room was very clean. I'm only giving four stars because the disabled bathroom handrail is shiny and smooth, so it's hard to grip when trying to get up.

Yuko, the manager, really stood out. She was friendly, professional and clearly cared about each guest. You can tell she takes pride in running the place, and she went above and beyond to make the stay great. Thanks to Yuko and the team for the hospitality. My time at the Travelodge was smooth and comfortable. The room was clean and quiet, with everything I needed for a good night's sleep. I'd definitely stay again.

The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable, with no problems there. What ruined the visit was my car being broken into in the car park, despite being in sight of the front entrance and reportedly a staff member. Parts were stripped out, including the interior trim and wiring, which was cut away. The car was eventually written off as undriveable. I was told staff knew it was happening in the early hours but didn't raise the alarm or call police. We only heard about it later that morning. Police told me the area has a lot of garages asking for car parts that are "stolen to order."

The room was dated and basic, and there wasn't a socket by the bed, so I couldn't use my laptop or phone while they charged across the room. Breakfast to go was minimal too. When I arrived at 2pm, an hour before check-in, nobody was there to help and the number on the early check-in sign went unanswered both times I called. A staff member eventually came down and let me in 40 minutes early, which I appreciated. Fine for a short trip.
