After spending the last night here, I can confirm my first impression: it’s cosy and comfortable, and the location makes it easy to visit Bristol, Cheddar, South Wales and further afield. We only arrived last night at first, but the place had all the equipment and facilities we needed for five nights. The hosts were excellent. I’d recommend it.

We’re already looking for a reason to come back, though next time we might drive. Steve made our cycling stay easy from the start: when we asked about bike storage, he offered a securely locked garage and lent us the key. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a welcome basket of cereal, bread and jam, plus milk and butter in the fridge. We could walk to Tesco Express, so we used the kitchen and picked up Tesco’s meal deals too. Winterbourne medieval barn was also within walking distance for my Saturday course. My husband was so at ease in the apartment that he stayed there until he came to meet me, despite having planned to go walking.

Steven made us feel welcome and was very helpful. The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy, and breakfast was included and great.

It was pretty okay, I guess.
