We had a great couple of nights here while skiing at Glenshee. The cabin was warm when we arrived, and there was loads of room to unwind after a day out. The photos really don't show how spacious it is. Underfloor heating was handy too, so snowy, wet shoes didn't leave the floors damp. Headroom might be tricky in a few spots if you're over six feet, but it was fine for us. Our cabin was near the road, so we heard some traffic overnight, though it wasn't a busy road. Parking felt a bit tight because another resident hadn't realised there were four spaces. We'd happily come back.

I was in the Callater cabin for a work event and loved it. It was clean, cosy, and had everything I needed. The setting is peaceful, with lovely scenery, while still being close to the places I needed to get to. Checking myself in was easy, too. Next time I'd like to come back for a holiday instead of work. Definitely worth it.

I came back to Braemar Cabins (Callater) for the Braemarathon 10K, and the standard was just as good as on my visit last year. The cabin was tidy and clean, getting in was straightforward, and I had everything I needed for a short stay. The village is beautiful, with plenty of little cafes, hotels and shops, and there's lots to explore in the surrounding area too. I hope to return for next year's 10K. I can definitely recommend it.

The cabins look out toward a lovely church, and the birdwatching is excellent. Nearby, the Mountain store and cafe has tables overlooking the falls, plus an unbelievably beautiful deck. It's such a picturesque hidden gem. I feel for the tourists who miss it. I'd happily recommend the place and stay again.

The host was wonderful and quick to answer questions. She even came over straight away to check we were settled, including for a couple of things that probably didn't need her to come in person. I really appreciated that. Our cabin was lovely, though it got a little hot. There was heating but no AC in the one we chose, and I can't say whether the other cabins are the same. Given the region, it made sense. We were there in July and the weather was lovely, so opening the windows was enough to sleep comfortably.
