Cribyn Lodge

We only booked one night, though I could easily have stayed longer. A welcome note with our name on it was a lovely touch. The room was cosy, and the full kitchen and dining room suited us well with our little four leg friend. We picked up food at the small local Spar and made something there instead of eating out. There was plenty of fruit at breakfast, and Pete cooked us a really nice meal. I’d recommend having breakfast at the house.

We slept really well in a lovely room, and the location was perfect with off road parking. Pete was a great host and went out of his way to make our visit enjoyable. We mentioned we were vegan, and he made sure breakfast catered for us so well. Looking forward to coming back and seeing more of the area.

Pete was amazing, such a genuine, down to earth guy who went out of his way to make sure our stay was more than satisfactory. It’s the best guest house I’ve stayed in, and breakfast was just perfect. Honestly, I can’t understand the bad review. Would recommend to everyone, 12/10!

Two weeks before we were due to attend a wedding, Cribyn lodge emailed to say we could no longer stay because of an infestation. I tried calling several times on different days to check the email was right, but nobody picked up. I’m disappointed they didn’t call to explain the cancellation. With accommodation in town and nearby already booked up, it left us in a difficult position.
