The best part of our stay came after breakfast, when I realised my phone was missing. I searched the car, then went back upstairs. On the third floor, the cleaner immediately said, “your phone” and handed me an envelope marked with my name and room number. She could easily have kept it, so that honesty deserves a big mention. Before that, we’d had a comfortable night in a spotless room, with a great shower and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a good, generous continental spread, though I didn’t eat much because I had a long drive ahead. When we left the room, the cleaner had asked if she could start cleaning since we were carrying our bags. We said yes, put our things in the car, checked out, and went to eat.

We used this for a small business group, and the meeting room was set up just how I’d asked. The front desk and F&B staff were fantastic, and they recognized my membership. Rooms were clean and practical, with some nice views over Brentford Lock. Best IHG hotel in the area, in my view. I’d highly recommend it.

The reception team were polite and respectful throughout, and the location was a real plus. Breakfast was acceptable, and I’d be open to coming back. But the last morning left a bad impression. A housekeeper knocked and asked why I was still in the room, saying I “should be checked out” because she needed to clean it. I told her politely I’d be leaving by then and asked her to be patient. She just repeated that she needed to clean the room. It felt unprofessional and made me feel rushed and unwelcome at the end of an otherwise pleasant stay. I understand the team has rooms to prepare, but being approached like that before the official checkout time wasn’t acceptable. 13th to 14th October 2025 First floor

The venue itself had a good location and enough room for 300+ guests, but having my wedding here was extremely disappointing. The list of suppliers they gave us was mostly no use to us, apart from the fireworks company, and the service from the venue was terrible. There didn’t seem to be much coordination between departments. We were first told we couldn’t access the venue the night before, then duty managers said we could. The lift was out of order, and when my room smelled strongly of smoke, staff said nothing could be done. I ended up swapping rooms with my partner, who was on the 4th floor. Our agreement said our names and wedding title would be on the mirror. Instead, it was covered in Christmas décor and had no personalisation. They also kept our £500 deposit, even though duty managers confirmed the bar and kitchen had both been left in good condition. Not the experience you hope for as a bride.
