We spent the evening downstairs in the pub, enjoying a pint and friendly conversation with locals. It was a comfortable, good-value stop for one night. The old building has plenty of character, while the inside feels modern and nicely styled. The owner was very welcoming and took us up to our room personally, even though they were busy at the bar. We had a street-facing room, so the uninsulated windows let in some outside noise. It eased later in the evening, and we slept well after the bar closed around 11pm. Parking was a little tricky to locate, but the directions in the booking confirmation email were clear. Breakfast was perfectly fine, if nothing special. There was a small card machine issue at checkout, quickly sorted without fuss.

A cosy, friendly pub in a great spot on the main street, with its own car park round the back. I had an excellent stay, and the bar has a good range of real ales. There’s a very nice atmosphere, and breakfast offered plenty of choice, cooked well to order.

A gorgeous pub, with Bridgnorth photos covering the walls and loads of seating. It’s listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for 2026. Prices are affordable, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating.

The staff were great, and we enjoyed the locals’ banter in the bar. It was nice to find the full range of Holdens cask ales, and the home-cooked breakfast was good. The place offered really great value for the area. We stayed a couple of nights while visiting in July 2025. The High Street location is great, and each guest room has a dedicated space in the car park behind the pub. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the shower was small, but both were absolutely fine for a short stay. Highly recommended.
