The restaurant and hotel were spotless, and the bedroom was just as clean, with fresh linen and towels and not a speck of dust. The food deal we booked meant fresh, consistently tasty breakfasts and evening meals, and the restaurant on the ground floor was great. The seafront setting was a real plus, with good shops and restaurants nearby and both the north and south beaches a short walk away. At first, noise from the upstairs neighbour, who seemed to be training for a marathon, was a problem. The staff moved us to another room, and it was quiet and comfortable after that, with the Aircon on. Big thanks to everyone for making the stay pleasant. Special thanks to our barmaid, Hannah (I think), who kept the cocktails coming 🥳 and gave us plenty of information about our plans for the days. It was my first time at a Premier Inn, and I loved it.

The shower felt like warm summer rain, which was wonderful, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had great, helpful service when we arrived. Breakfast was okay, though the bacon was underdone for my taste. On our last evening, I stayed in for dinner. The lasagne was wonderful despite looking burnt, but the service wasn't great and I had to ask for my dessert. Still a good experience overall.

We paid £210 for one night, which was our fault for agreeing to it. The location is perfect. Our room window was designed not to open, but the aircon eventually cooled things down. We stopped for an evening drink, though the tables were covered with empty glasses, every one of them. The check in kiosk didn't work, so a person had to check us in.

The room was great, very comfortable and well equipped. The pub, the freeman cookhouse, was seriously understaffed. We had to make three choices before finding something they could cook, and the waits were very long. The food was mostly okay, though some of it was overcooked. The staff were polite and apologetic, but that didn't make up for the limited menu and ridiculous waits. We were greeted by an overworked host who struggled to seem happy and friendly, probably because the hotel is poorly managed and understaffed. We still had breakfast to try the next morning, so hopefully they could win back a star. At that point, I wasn't sure I'd be back.

We booked a table and arrived ten minutes early, but the only seats available were opposite the doors, so it was rather cold. I had to ask for the table to be cleaned. At 1.30pm on a Sunday, turkey was the only option for Sunday lunch. By 2.15pm we were still waiting for our drinks, and had to ask where they were. Staff said the order had been misplaced during a changeover. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and two of our three orders were wrong. The place looked dirty, the service was rubbish, and the food was cold. A few months ago it was lovely, but customer care and food quality have gone downhill. I won't go back or recommend it anymore.
