Stancroft House

Private off-road parking was a nice bonus, and the prices were competitive. Stancroft House is close to the beach, shops and restaurants, with helpful, welcoming hosts and very clean, comfortable rooms. I think it’s the best place to stay in Bridlington, and I’ll definitely book again.

Room 8, at the top of the house, had a great view. It was lovely and clean, with little extras like shower accessories, makeup wipes and a makeup remover flannel. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room, and I even got a free parking space. Nothing was too much trouble. I’ll definitely be back.

Sandra greeted us warmly when we arrived and gave us complimentary face masks and hand sanitiser. The guest house is in a prime spot, and the bed was very comfortable. Facilities were good, including a mini fridge for the milk for tea and coffee. We’re hoping to book again soon.

The proprietors have only recently taken over, and they’re lovely, friendly hosts in a lovely home. They add thoughtful touches and are happy to help with anything. My room, number 7, was spacious, comfortable and spotless, with cosy decor and bedding. I called it the Oyster Catcher room. The tea and coffee selection included fruit teas and biscuits, and there were little bottles of shampoo and soap as well as shower caps. There’s no breakfast provided, but plenty of nearby options, including an all-you-can-eat buffet, a breakfast cafe and a nice little brunch spot. Food is available at the leisure centre too. The seafront is a short walk away, and you can see it from the front of the guest house. Great, thanks, Joolshc.
