The Sunday carvery was delicious, with everything served steaming hot. The price felt fair for the quality of both food and service. The staff looked smart and were extremely helpful, and the building is beautiful. Little details like the lovely tablecloths and staff in black tie added something special to eating out and were appreciated. We usually drive out of brid for our Sunday meal, but we've found a new favourite. The vanilla ice cream was the best I've had in a long time.

The carvery has replaced the table service I remembered, but the Sunday lunch was just as good as on my last visit. Everything was hot and beautifully cooked, and they kept replenishing the vegetables. The leeks in white sauce are still the best I've ever had. After staying away for a while, I'm glad I came back. Great staff, lovely atmosphere and wonderful food. You're still the place to go for Sunday lunch, and I'll be back very soon. Thank you!

I was here on a business trip, with the booking handled by my company. At check-in they asked for a £100 deposit for possible damage, which made for an unpleasant start. It felt as though keeping guests' money mattered more to them than our comfort. The room was okay, but I couldn't sleep properly because the neighboring doors creaked so badly that I kept waking up. After my second night I left early, checking out at about 6:00 AM. Reception was closed and inaccessible, and although I walked around looking for somewhere to leave the key, there was no drop box or instructions. I eventually returned to my room and left it there. Later they charged me £10 for supposedly not returning the key. I think that's completely unfair when there was no way to hand it in during an early checkout. Very disappointed with the service. I won't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We'd definitely come back. The hotel's in a great spot, about a ten minute walk into bridlington, and the rooms were lovely, with comfy beds and pillows. The ensuite bathroom and shower were clean, new and fresh. The only downside was dinner at the hotel restaurant. We didn't enjoy the starter, so we paid and left.

Three of us had to wait with our disabled child and two babies while the rest of our party of 19 paid for the pre-booked carvery. They gave us a ticket and said to come to the front when we swapped over, but staff then told us to go to the back of the queue. I complained and asked to speak to Adrian, who apparently told a staff member he was too busy. The other three of us ended up eating 30 minutes after everyone else, which spoiled a family birthday meal, and one person stormed out. It was a dreadful experience. We won't come back or recommend it. They came across as arrogant and too superior to speak to customers. I'll spend my money somewhere that appreciates them.
