The Swallow looks modest from outside, but inside we found a bright, comfortable, well presented bedroom and a large shower. The owner and staff gave us a lovely warm welcome, and they were very friendly to our dog. Breakfast was tasty and well cooked, with plenty of traditional and healthy choices. I'd absolutely recommend it. The care and quality were better than at many of the more modern, well-known chains I've stayed in over the years.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing. Our room was spacious and well laid out. It was so warm during our stay that we both slept on top of the covers. When I tidied the room before leaving, I noticed the bedding was dirty. The top of the duvet cover, tucked under the pillows, looked stained with makeup and smelled of perfume, as if it hadn't been washed. I'm glad we slept on top of it. I'll check the bedding first whenever I stay somewhere in future.

Breakfast was cooked perfectly, and Sonia brought it over and had time for a chat and a laugh. Gifty greeted us when we arrived and was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel was spotless, and our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a perfect weekend and will definitely return.

We were welcomed by Gifty, the lovely friendly owner, who showed us to our room. It was clean and lovely, with a comfy bed and a great shower. Breakfast the next morning was first class, and all the staff were friendly and chatty. We'd definitely stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Our room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was cooked perfectly. I could have eaten the whole thing again. We had a lovely stay at the swallow, where Gifty and her team made us feel warmly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, Gifty. Keep doing what you're doing, you're amazing.
