Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

After a long hike, the warm welcome at reception was just what I needed. I'd booked a single but was upgraded to a double, which I really appreciated. Cosy and comfortable room, plus a big smart TV. Dinner in the bar was good and fairly priced, and I was glad to find a decent vegan option. Breakfast was great too, with a nice range at the buffet. A great place to stop during a long hike. Hope I didn't leave a mess from my muddy boots!

The road down to the hotel is a narrow single track, and the passing spots are too tight and too few. Even so, it's a great hotel with a wonderful view and outdoor area. We stayed one night for a family get-together. The staff were fantastic, and we had an excellent meal and brilliant breakfast. Our shower in Room 4 had no hot water. Apparently you need to turn it fully on to activate it, so a notice might help. The duvet felt too heavy, and there was no bedside light by the tea-making area.

It was quiet at Eype's Mouth Hotel, with the nearby beach easy to get to. Morgan at reception and Helen at breakfast looked after us well during our two-night stay. We booked the junior suite, which had a pleasant decking area and an inflatable hot tub. The afternoon views in the setting sun were lovely. We would have liked more choice in the main restaurant, so we ate in the less formal kitchen next door instead. The food was tasty and good value, without being overly pretentious.

The room had lovely views and made for a relaxing break after a long journey. Kamila greeted me so warmly when I arrived, and Abby arranged a room upgrade with a thoughtful handwritten welcome note. Those personal touches made everything feel just perfect. Thank you.
