The countryside views from The Shelter were breathtaking and completely uninterrupted, and it stayed wonderfully quiet throughout our weekend with our dog. Everyone was genuinely warm and welcoming, and our dog was made to feel at home too. That really matters when you travel with one. Breakfast was included and a real treat each morning. We also had a gorgeous dinner at the restaurant one evening, with exceptional food. The room was stunning, from the copper bath and incredible bed to the log burner and those views. Every detail felt considered, and the whole place was beautiful. We came for a weekend away and ended up wishing we could move in. We'll absolutely be back. One of our best stays ever.
The Coop was a special place to celebrate a 50th birthday. We loved the hot tub, private cinema, restaurant and the surroundings, and the welcome was wonderful, with attentive service and great food. A home-baked cake was waiting in our room, made gluten and lactose free for my girlfriend's dietary needs. The room had two floors and a huge, very comfortable bed. You could tell every detail had been thought through. Such a great find, thank you for a wonderful stay.
We stayed in the gorgeous Granary, with its huge hot tub, lovely interiors and all the amenities we needed. There were two showers, a smart TV and a little kitchenette. The staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and made sure we were well looked after. We had great weather, so it was lovely to start with cocktails in the sun and a look around the grounds. Breakfast was delicious, with really good local ingredients. The bar is a great place for a drink and a game in the evening. A stunning, relaxing stay. We'll definitely be back!
The house beans at breakfast are still on my mind, and the food was amazing. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, and even made mocktails for me to enjoy while pregnant. We had such a relaxing couple of days at the outbuildings to celebrate my husband's 40th and our wedding anniversary. The rooms, cartshed and grounds were all stunning. Loved the chilled vibes playlist and drinks in the glasshouse. We'll recommend it to friends and be back. Thank you!
We loved exploring the area from The Pen. We walked a 17km route through the countryside and villages around Bridport, and the location was really good. The shepherds hut looks out over the meadow, and the shower, kitchen and that bath were perfect. The toiletries were beautiful too. Everything we needed was provided, though having just one outdoor armchair meant we couldn't enjoy the terrace together as we'd hoped. Breakfast was included both mornings, served in the beautiful new side room added to the restaurant. It was good quality, tasty and consistent. Our evening meal was cancelled because of unforeseen circumstances for their chef, but the team let us know during the day, so we could make other plans nearby. We stayed two nights in April and had a lovely time. Since The Pen was one of the first rooms created, a few things could use maintenance or a refresh. We'd stay again, though might choose a different room next time.
