The room was on the small side, but the welcoming hosts, good breakfast and location more than made up for it. The full English breakfast is included and served at a nearby cafe, just a short walk away. The food was great, and we were very happy with our stay.

We stayed for three days and two nights, and the place was much smaller than the photos suggested. I assume they were taken with a professional camera. My booking said sea view and breakfast at the property, but breakfast was actually at a cafe around the corner, outside the hotel complex. We were given a smaller menu than other customers, with only one choice and no juice. I would rather have gone separately and picked a decent breakfast, because what we were offered tasted disgusting. The room had a dirty kettle and a small sofa with a rip in it. The shower drain kept blocking, so it took ages to shower. It’s overpriced, and you’re only paying for being close to the pier. Don’t stay here if you want to enjoy your trip.

The room was shoddy, and housekeeping had left hairs on the bed and rug, plus coffee stains on the floor. The cleaning staff were friendly, though, and offered fresh bed linen. There was no management around, so everything was left to housekeeping. Breakfast is served at a cafe around the corner, outside the hotel complex. We were given a smaller menu than the other customers, with no juice included. I’d rather have gone to the cafe on my own and chosen a decent breakfast. It’s way overpriced for the location near the pier. Don’t stay here if you want to enjoy yourself.

I stayed one night in a double room while attending a local conference. It was comfortable, fairly priced and had the amenities I needed. The host was thoroughly pleasant, and the beach is right nearby. Parking is another matter, though that’s an issue everywhere in Brighton. Breakfast was included at a cafe down the road and was just as nice. I’d stay again.

It’s a clean, contemporary room with the feel of a little studio, and it was pretty spacious for a budget European room. The private entrance and quiet atmosphere were nice too. Handy for the beach and pier. I’ll book here again next time I’m in Brighton.
