Guest And The City

The room looked nothing like the photos. I felt completely misled, and it seemed closer to a one-star place than a four-star one. The bed had some strange, thick plastic around it, and the bathroom fan sounded like a sputtering jet engine. Someone was stomping around above me all night. I’d asked for a top-floor room to avoid that, but my emails were ignored. Checkout was already too early, then someone knocked at 9 AM even though checkout was at 10. I’d had a late night and needed those last few winks. After leaving, I had to lie on the beach for a couple of hours to get some rest before my train. Truly awful stay.

I saw it on Four in a Bed and thought I had to try it because it looked so good. It’s even better now, though I can’t imagine how you improve on perfection, but somehow they did. Rosie and Ashley were so accommodating. I loved staying here and can’t wait to come back. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

The location was the only good thing. Getting into the room was really difficult, and it was filthy. There was only a keypad on the outside, with no deadbolt or anything to lock from inside, so I didn’t feel safe. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

For a reasonable price, you get a really convenient location, your own bathroom, and a nice little partition that makes an internal balcony and keeps outside noise down. The host was lovely too, and we had a great stay. What’s not to like?
