Breakfast was the best part, it was very good. The staff were friendly too, and the location is great. But the room was tiny, and the toilet and shower share the same space with no divider. It might suit someone else, but I prefer more room and a private shower.

Brighton centre is about a five-minute walk away, handy for shopping and places to eat, and the sea is roughly 200 metres from the hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, though some furniture mixed old and modern styles in a way I wasn't sure about. The main issue was the top-floor shower cutting out now and then. Still, a brilliant place to stay.

The breakfasts are divine, and they're included with every booking. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant, but most menu items could be made with gluten-free products. The staff looked after us so well, and anything we needed was taken care of. The rooms differ in size, but they're cute and well maintained. We've stayed once before and fell in love with this special little hotel. That first visit came with a great deal that included a huge bottle of prosecco on arrival, which we promptly drank. A fantastic start to a Brighton holiday. Best hotel in Brighton by a mile.

It was hard to drag ourselves away from our warm, comfortable room. The toiletries were lovely, and there was a decanter of very nice port at no extra charge. The breakfast was excellent too, especially the smoothie shots they handed out. Service was faultless. I clumsily broke several glasses in the dining room, and the staff were completely relaxed about it. They also looked after our bags after the 11 am checkout so we could explore Brighton. It's a bit of a trek from the station, but otherwise this boutique hotel is excellent value, with lots of little surprises. There are cheaper places in town, but I'm looking forward to staying here again.

I stayed in February 2013 in the four-poster room at the top of the house. The room was amazing, with a plush feel, a lovely bath, a very comfortable bed, and everything clean. There were thoughtful touches too, like colour-changing lights set into the floor and a sensor-activated indigo toilet light for nighttime trips, so you don't wake your partner. Wi-Fi worked throughout. The staff were friendly and everything went smoothly. I loved it and can't recommend the place enough.
