We come to Leonardo Waterfront hotel Brighton at least twice a year, and it feels like the staff treat us as family. I always spend my birthday here, even though it’s in January, and they make it a lovely stay. Ellie and Jake at reception were especially welcoming and helpful, and I felt they went above and beyond. At breakfast, Jean greeted us warmly each morning, and chef Indi was always happy to make omelettes or pancakes. The whole team is amazing, and we can’t wait to return. The hotel feels like home, with comfortable, luxurious rooms and great service. The beds are so comfortable, and we love the views, especially from the Sea view rooms, the lobby and restaurant over the seafront, and the back looking towards the Lanes. The location is great too, with the pier and plenty of good pubs and restaurants nearby. Thank you.

The room had a cobweb in the bathroom and dust on the bedroom ceiling. We’d paid extra for an Executive Room, but the second bed hadn’t been made up because there wasn’t a proper second bed at all, just an uncomfortable sofa bed. The Council-owned car park beneath the hotel cost £40.50 for 24 hours and was covered in urine, with an unbearable smell. The lift from the car park wasn’t working, so my son had to hop up three flights on his crutches. There were some nice touches in the room, including water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and an espresso machine with pods. The reception and dining area are beautiful, and the location is perfect. But I’d put the rooms at three stars, even though the hotel is rated four. I’d recommend staying 20 minutes’ drive away for a third of the price and free parking, at an actual four-star place.

We got a lovely sea view room upgrade for our anniversary, which made the stay feel even more special. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We also enjoyed the spa facilities and pool, and it was nice to pop down for a swim. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely be back.

Juan at the breakfast buffet was always friendly, attentive and polite when we came down in the morning. He really made us feel looked after. The buffet had plenty of choice, and the food was fresh and nicely presented. We had a lovely stay at Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton. The hotel was clean and modern, in a handy spot for a Brighton trip, and everyone was welcoming. The atmosphere felt relaxed but still classy. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.

The Lanes Car Park beside the hotel turned out to be clean and manageable, even with an estate car. There’s lift access to reception from levels 2 and 4, though the public lift is out of order. You can reach the street without steps from level 1. To get into the car park on foot from the street, scan your parking ticket, so keep it with you. Parking is pricey, but the hotel discount brought my 24-hour charge down from £49 to £29. They let me check out and return later to pay, which meant we could stay longer. You pay at reception and get a voucher, then scan your ticket and voucher at the car park payment machine. The hotel itself is really lovely, with a large room, a firm comfortable bed, complimentary tea, coffee, water and biscuits, and a good buffet breakfast. I’d been worried about parking, so hope these details help.
