The room at the Lime House was airy and bright, with comfortable beds and thoughtful décor. It had the essentials too, including a hairdryer, fan and kettle. Great location in Brighton, and we’d stay again and recommend it.

The rooms were very clean, which I really appreciated, and the staff were helpful. Anna was especially friendly. Since breakfast isn’t served there, they suggested several local cafes, which I liked because we got to try a few different places. We had one of the best rooms, I think, with lovely wooden floorboards and bay windows that brought in lots of light when the shutters were open. We could see the sea from the windows, and the website photos really do match the place. My girlfriend chose LimeHouse for its great location, and we weren’t disappointed. Most things were about 5-10 minutes away, with the train station a little farther.

The inn sits in a square with a big garden at its centre, so it feels peaceful even though you’re in the middle of Brighton. Brighton pier is about 6-7 short blocks away, and the seafront is almost at the end of the road, maybe a 45-second walk if you stop to chat. At the far end there are good restaurants, shops and pretty much anything you might need. We stayed a few days at Limehouse during the school vacation, making the most of the sunny weather, and were thrilled with our choice. My wife, daughter and I felt at home right away. The staff were helpful, attentive and friendly, and showed us to a sunny second-floor room. It was surprisingly spacious and warm, with a sea-view bay window, a large comfortable bed, a clean modern en-suite bath and a sofa to relax on after exploring. The coffee selection, decorations and thoughtful use of colour gave it a homely feel. We loved being there and were sorry to leave, but we’ll be back again and again.

The staff made our first trip away with our baby much easier, going out of their way to help. We had a lovely large, clean room with sea views and a comfortable bed, all at a great price. Restaurants, shops and sights are within walking distance. A small, fairly niche downside: the floor creaked, and light from the sign outside came through the window until it switched off at 21:30. The room wasn’t very soundproof, though traffic quieted down around 20:00. Parking on the Square was easier than I expected. If there’s no space, a couple of loops usually does it, and one opens up. Would we stay at LimeHouse again? Definitely. Thanks, everyone!

There’s no lift, and our room was on the top floor, so getting up there takes a good pair of legs. It was fine for us. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean, as was the well-equipped bathroom. The bed and duvet were comfortable, but the pillows were extremely flat and there weren’t any spare ones in the room. It’s a great location, though expect some late-night street noise that can’t really be helped. We’d happily stay again.
