The hotel was really clean, with polite staff and pleasant lounge areas. There was even a quiet spot with books and activities for kids, a nice touch. The only thing missing was a swimming pool, but otherwise I couldn’t fault it. We got a good Wowcher deal that included breakfast and a welcome drink, and I appreciated being able to upgrade to a family room and bring the kids for an extra charge. We stayed three nights while visiting Brighton for the half marathon and enjoyed local family activities. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet. As vegans, we hadn’t expected much, but it was the best hotel breakfast we’ve had, in the UK or abroad. We had beans, potatoes, croissants, pancakes, cereal, fruit and yoghurt, with sausages available on request. The kids were thrilled with their stacks of pancakes and syrup. If we’d known, we would’ve brought Biscoff or Nutella! We slept well, as well as you can in a hotel and an unfamiliar bed, and it was quiet enough for the kids to sleep soundly. We’d definitely come back if we visit Brighton again.

We loved our time in Brighton, and having a comfortable hotel room to come back to made a real difference. The hotel is two minutes from the seafront, a few minutes from the main shopping area and about ten minutes from the Lanes. We didn’t eat at the hotel, since there are so many places to dine out. The staff were helpful and polite. I stayed with my mum during some of the hottest days of the year so far. Our room was very comfortable, with a double and a single bed. The bed felt a bit firm to me, but that’s just personal preference. The beds and linen were top quality, and the ensuite bathroom was exceptionally nice. The cleaning team kept everything spotless. We’re older, and my mum is 90, but we’d highly recommend staying here.

The staff made our anniversary stay feel really special. Reception were lovely, and we were surprised with an upgrade. Then one of the receptionists came by with a card and a little box of chocolates. This was our second visit and we had a fabulous night. Breakfast and everything else was perfect, and the location is great.

The room was fresh, clean and comfortable, with a really cosy bed and plenty of pillows. We also loved the breakfast, which was included. The staff were polite and attentive, and seemed to enjoy their work. We arrived this weekend to a birthday surprise for my wife, a room upgrade. We had a brilliant stay at The Maldron in Brighton and can't wait to book again.

The staff were the real highlight. Every person we met was helpful, pleasant and lovely to talk to. They turned a good hotel into a great one. Breakfast was excellent too, and it was such a joy to eat in the courtyard on the first morning. We’d booked two days away in Brighton, and got a warm welcome on arrival. Our room was spacious and very clean. The parking was the one big downside. The hotel used to offer a discount for the car park opposite, but that scheme has ended. Two days cost us £70. Brighton has shot itself in the foot with these ridiculous parking fees. After 60 years of coming down from London, we won’t be returning to Brighton because of them. I feel sorry for the hotels, as this must be crippling tourism, which is already under a lot of pressure.
