We had really good food on Sunday, and there's a lovely garden out the back. It's a great pub outside the centre of Brighton, with super fun, friendly staff. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

I've been here several times and the food is normally decent, but this time all three Sunday roasts we ordered were very poor. The meat was either raw or overcooked, the potatoes were too hard to cut from the base, and the gravy was both very salty and watery. We had to leave most of the meals uneaten. Maybe the chefs are new, or maybe the food is just poor now. I'm not sure.

The staff were attentive and accommodating, and the room felt lively without making conversation difficult. We had a delightful Easter Sunday roast and really enjoyed the meal. We chose the pork belly, beef and lamb, all deliciously prepared, with a generous Yorkshire pudding, vegetables, mashed potatoes and exceptionally tasty roast potatoes. Our drinks were Cruzcampo beer, a glass of house red wine, and a double raspberry vodka with lemonade, all reasonably priced. The food, atmosphere and service were impeccable. It was a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch, and we look forward to returning. Highly recommend.

The food was simple and really tasty, and there was plenty of room inside with a few tables and chairs out back. The beer selection was okay. It had an older crowd, but the place felt relaxed, and the staff were very friendly. Nice pub for a quiet drink. I’d happily come back, maybe for food too.
