The Moreland

The Moreland has changed so much since Darren took over about three years ago. I’ve stayed a few times since then, and it’s become a lovely, contemporary B&B. Darren seems to have thought of everything, including modern comforts most B&Bs don’t offer, and he’s still improving the rooms. Great place and a great bloke. You really can’t go wrong staying here.

Room no5 was a good fit for couples, with the complimentary things you need already there. The whole building had a fresh, clean smell from the front entrance through to the room, which was a nice surprise. It’s only minutes from Brighton’s busy centre, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The windows could use a little care, though it didn’t affect how comfortable the stay was. Our room was really large, clean and well presented, with a sofa and chairs where we could relax and watch a film. The location is great, near the seafront and BA i360. We stayed one night, had a great host, and I’d happily stay again next time I’m in Brighton.

The host was friendly, the place was clean and tidy, and the location was great. The plumbing was a bit odd, and breakfast at 8am was too late for me. When I mentioned that in a review elsewhere, the host contacted my employer, who had paid for the trip, and asked me to retract it. Very poor show.
