Clayton Hotel Bristol City

We had a pleasant stay at the Clayton Hotel Bristol, and getting around the city was easy thanks to its good location. On arrival, we needed a different room. The staff had already arranged the change before we'd even reached reception, which made everything stress-free. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. We were comfortable throughout and would gladly return.

The room was spotless, with a huge bed and the comfiest pillows. It was so quiet all night that we could have been the only guests. The staff seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their work, which you don't often see. A lovely hotel, highly recommend it.

We stayed two nights for the Bristol Half Marathon 2026 and found the hotel both central and tucked into a more historic neighborhood. The room was clean and roomy, with windows that opened for fresh air and all the basics, including complimentary water. Check-in and checkout were really quick, and the lobby is very pretty. I'd definitely recommend it.

Getting to the hotel by car was tricky, and with all our luggage it was especially awkward in the pouring rain. But the location is right in the heart of the city, and we really enjoyed our three days there. Our room was pleasantly large and well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Every staff member we met was cheerful, polite and helpful. A special thanks to Aarron in the dining room, who took thoughtful care of our large party over the weekend.
