A small gym and pool are available, and the bedrooms have a slightly odd complimentary dribble of gin. Breakfast was decent, with excellent hot dishes cooked to order, while the continental selection was reasonable but only a little of each item was displayed. The building is a lovely old bank, in a great location, with a slightly quirky interior and helpful staff.

The spa was gorgeous, and Martha gave me a brilliant deep tissue back massage. We also had lunch and cocktails in the restaurant, then breakfast before leaving, with plenty of choice, cooked dishes and a solid continental buffet. We stayed two nights at The Harbour and had a great time. It’s in the old city, close to lots of bars and restaurants, and easy to explore on foot. The area feels lively without being too busy or noisy. It’s a really unusual hotel, the rooms are lovely, and it was incredibly clean throughout. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff made the day for me. Olivia, with 15+ years of experience, was an incredible therapist and worked wonders on my neck and back, one of the highlights. Kiana was so accommodating, rearranged my lunch and went the extra mile to keep things running smoothly. The restaurant food and service impressed me too, and the £25 credit went a long way toward a delicious meal. I visited as a guest for a weekday half-day spa package (£99), with spa access, a 25-minute massage and a £25 food voucher. It’s a solid deal for a city center retreat, with some pros and cons. The facilities felt more 4-star than 5-star to me. The pool area is quite small and entirely underground in the old vaults. The historic setting is cool, but with little natural light and such a compact space, it wasn’t entirely my vibe. It’s fine for a quick dip and some relaxation, though it can feel enclosed if you stay a long time.

The spa, set in the old bank vault, felt unusual and luxurious, and breakfast in the lovely restaurant was fresh with plenty to choose from. Our large twin room had very comfortable beds and luxurious linen. We also appreciated the complimentary gin, coffee pods, dressing gowns and lovely toiletries. Every staff member was delightful, and the hotel is right in the centre of Bristol. Thoroughly recommend it.
