My husband had a heart attack on the flight home to Glasgow, so the plane was diverted to Bristol and I stayed here because it’s close to the hospital. The manager and the rest of the staff were especially helpful. I was there for three nights at a great rate, then had to add another night. £160 felt a bit pricey, but I paid it and caught the first flight home on Wednesday. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the Wi-Fi was great, and breakfast each morning was lovely with plenty to eat. I’d definitely return. Thanks to the manager and all her staff.

We found it easy to walk into the city, and the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the train station along the river and through the park. The rooms were quiet, with no road or nightlife noise. Staff were friendly, and the restaurant team were helpful too. If you plan to eat there, the meal deal is worth considering. Our room and bed were a little smaller than at other Premier Inns we’ve stayed in, though it didn’t spoil the stay. I was disappointed there was no decaf coffee in the room, as I can’t have caffeine. Luckily, I had some in my work bag. The air con only goes down to 19, which feels hot to us, though maybe that’s just our preference.

The downstairs Brewers Fayer restaurant deserves a mention. The food was really good, they have a decent gluten-free menu online, and the staff are trained to avoid cross contamination. Their 12pm-6pm main course deals are only £5, and the service was great. The hotel is right in the middle of Bristol. We chose a Family Room with a double bed and an extra single, and it was comfortable, clean, modern, and had plenty of plugs plus a cool LED headboard light. The Premier Rooms on the top floor apparently have a kettle and fridge, but only sleep up to two people. My gripe was the sheet-by-sheet toilet paper dispenser. Bring a roll if that sort of thing annoys you. Parking at NCP is discounted, though a direct booking at Future Inn might get you a nicer room and free parking for less. Book early and rooms can be £45 a night, but sometimes the price for a family of three climbs above £200.

We travel often and tend to use Premier Inn because it’s easy to find branches near city centres. The Bristol hotel felt like a reliable choice, with comfortable, clean rooms and staff who were friendly, cooperative, and welcoming. The premium rooms were roomy and spotless, good for either a work trip or a short city break. Breakfast was consistently good, and I liked seeing new dishes added. Wi-Fi could be slow in the evenings, but it was still good value and a convenient, dependable place to stay in Bristol.

Stayed two nights and slept really well. The sixth-floor room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the Samsung TV was good.
