The staff were busy, but polite, and I really appreciated the useful tea and coffee setup and the fridge. The room stayed at a perfect 18 degrees, so we didn't need the installed air conditioning. There were lots of pillows and cushions too, which suited me since I like sleeping mostly upright. In most hotels I have to hunt for extras and make do. The shower room was lovely, with a big mirror and a large shower that had good pressure and easy temperature control. I can't fault anything here. The stairs were a pain, but that's Bristol, with its old buildings and steep staircases, so it comes with the territory.

We'd definitely come back to the Wellington. Our family had four rooms for two nights, Friday and Saturday in February. The weather was cold and miserable, but the friendly welcome and comfortable rooms made the stay lovely. We appreciated the little fridge with cold water and fresh milk for tea and coffee from the coffee machine. The beer was very tasty. We didn't get to try the food, though what we saw being served looked really good.

We only stayed one night at The Wellington in Bristol last weekend, but could easily have stayed longer. The room and bathroom were spotless and nicely decorated, and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality linen. It felt like what you'd expect from a posh hotel. There was complimentary Nespresso coffee, fine teas, and biscuits too. We didn't get to try the restaurant, but stopped for a drink at the clean, airy bar. The service was friendly. We'd stay here again next time we're in the area.

A disappointing Sunday roast lunch. It came out quickly but was cold. There was a good choice of wine, though a large glass felt pricey, and the coffee machine was broken.

Grace gave us excellent service when we came for Sunday lunch with friends and the kids. The meal arrived quickly and we all enjoyed it. They were especially generous with the roast beef. We'll definitely be back!
