We’ve stayed here six times now and will be back. The apartment is lovely and comfortable, with everything we need for a relaxing break. The owners are hospitable and very helpful, and leave a welcome pack with nice little treats. From the window there are superb views, and bars and restaurants are right on the doorstep. We highly recommend it.

The view from the windows kept us happily occupied: Brixham harbour and the Golden Hind Museum Ship are just feet away. We could hear the ship’s bell during the day as the harbour water gently moved, and loved watching people, the sea, and the locals. The bedroom felt welcoming as soon as we arrived, and we found the whole holiday memorable, with immaculate accommodation in a lively, interesting spot. I booked five nights as a birthday surprise for my husband. Ian was incredibly helpful with information about the area, places to eat, things to do, and ideas for making the break special. Ian and Liz met us on arrival and were easy to reach if we needed anything. The apartment was exactly as described, and the great reviews I’d read were right. It had everything we needed, so most of the kitchen and cleaning things I’d packed stayed unused. They’d left lovely edible treats and remembered my husband’s birthday. We even won £5 on the lottery ticket they gave us! We’d booked a few restaurants before arriving, which I’d recommend, especially in August. We tried a couple of the suggested places and also had fish and chips back at the apartment. There’s a detailed guidebook there too, but ask Ian in advance for recommendations. We wanted a relaxing few days and enjoyed a good walk each day, including to Berry Head and beyond. In August 2022 the temperatures were soaring, so we set off at 6am more than once. We also explored the town and its side streets and walkways, and found a great breakfast spot. We moved the car only once in five days. We were very happy staying right in the heart of Brixham, by the water among the locals and seagulls, enjoying every minute of the English Riviera. We’d love to return. Liz and Ian gave us a lovely welcome and were helpful with local tips. The apartment is right on the harbour, clean and tidy, and has a gorgeous cream tea waiting among the little treats. It’s a hidden gem in brixham. The rooms are quiet and the views from both the bedroom and living room are amazing. I’d highly recommend staying here.
