Friendly, hard-working owners, a very clean and comfortable room, and a nice breakfast in the morning. It’s a guest house, so if you’re expecting a converted house, there’s nothing to complain about. The harbour is a 10 minute walk away, which suited us perfectly and helped walk off some of the extra food we eat when visiting Brixham.

We had a brilliant Christmas stay. The owners were very attentive, and breakfast was beautiful. Our room was clean and comfy, though the TV was a bit small. If you want to park the car and leave it, the bus stop is right outside the B and B. Would recommend staying here.

We’ve been staying at the anchorage for a few years and find it enchanting, exceptionally clean and well managed. Mark and Sylvia are lovely, friendly hosts who are happy to help. Breakfasts are lovely, and it’s very dog friendly and accommodating. We like being able to use a fridge if needed. The location is ideal, with bus stops right outside. We’ll be back next year.

We’ve stayed twice and had excellent service on both visits, with good breakfasts and clean rooms each time. Sylvia and Mark are welcoming, friendly hosts. The garden is well kept and a nice place to sit and relax. We recommend the Anchorage guest house to anyone.

The hosts are the friendliest, loveliest people imaginable, and I can’t fault them. Breakfast is beautifully presented, with none of that greasy breakfast. The place is clean and tidy, though the decor isn’t my taste, with its mix of patterns and animal prints. The location is unfortunate, right by the main traffic light at the junction for the main road into Brixham. It’s a good place, but I like somewhere quieter, so I’m not sure I’d return.
