We had dinner at this lovely little restaurant, pub and hotel, and the BBQ Pit was a great experience. They cook high-quality steaks there, and the wine and drinks selection is good. Service was spot on. The front of house team and chefs run the place well. Highly recommended for locals and visitors.

Emily and Mark are great hosts, and the staff are very attentive. The food is good and there's a wide choice of wine. It's not the cheapest, but quality comes at a price. If cheap is what you want, there's Wetherspoons.

The rooms were very clean, and we found the bed and pillows really comfortable. The Smugglers Hotel is tastefully decorated in the reception, bar and dining area, and the food and service were very good. The owners and staff are friendly and do everything they can to make your stay memorable. We had a lovely visit, thank you for a wonderful experience. We'll be back soon.

Lunch was absolutely awful and left us very disappointed. The steak and vegetables were cold, partly because the steak came out before the plates and we had to ask for steak knives, delaying us even more. My husband's meal arrived ten minutes after everyone else's steak, even though he hadn't ordered steak. We also saw several steaks sitting on the bench waiting to be cut and cooked, with a few flies around them. None of us enjoyed the meal, and we won't be returning.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch, with delicious local food, a nice atmosphere and a friendly, welcoming team. We'll be back.
