The garden looks out over lovely fields and nearby hills, and the whole stay felt peaceful. Our room was clean, spacious and really nice, with a newly renovated private bathroom. Breakfast was generous and cooked fresh by our very kind, friendly hosts. It’s a beautiful place in the countryside, well placed for exploring Salisbury and the area's main sights if you have a car. We had a very positive stay.

Breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen was a treat, with lovely views over the fields, fresh bread, cereals, yogurts and a delicious full English. The owners were warm and chatty without hovering. I was there for one work night, and the huge room still felt comfortable and homely. There were biscuits and chocolates, plus real milk in a jug in the mini fridge for making proper tea. The shower was hot and powerful, and the towels were soft. A pleasure from start to finish, and I hope I can return.

It felt welcoming, a bit like visiting family, though there was also room to keep to yourself if you preferred. The owners were nearby if we needed anything, and they're a lovely couple. The husband was born on the farm. The kitchen had books and board games, plus plenty of information on local places to visit, and you can sit outside to take in that view. Breakfast was laid out for self service before we got up, with the fridge stocked and the table ready. No cooked breakfast, but there was plenty: salmon, cheese, ham, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, homemade bread and croissants, local honey, homemade jams, fresh apple and orange juice, tea, coffee and all kinds of cereal. I didn't need anything else. The location is ideal, not far from Salisbury. We loved our stay and highly recommend it. They welcome all ages.

Friendly, warm and quiet, with a comfortable room that had plenty of space. The furniture and fittings felt solid and all of a piece, with no cheap tat, and there were lots of drinks and snacks. Breakfast was enough to get me through the day. I booked it as a stopover between two visits I needed to make. The remote setting was the one downside, though in other circumstances it would be a plus. The track in and out was in poor shape, and local drivers were reckless, taking 4x4s and tractors too fast around bends and down the middle of narrow roads.

Janet and Michael made us feel so welcome, and knew the area well. They had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We stayed four days in April 2016 and honestly didn't want to leave. The farm fields outside our window made for a beautiful, peaceful view. Inside, the accommodation was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious, with the traditional English spread of eggs, toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon or sausage, and baked beans. We'd book another stay in a heartbeat. If you want to relax in comfort, this is the place.
