Broadway makes a good holiday base, with plenty to do, lots of cafes and restaurants, the Cotswold Way, and many circular walks. You can get there by bus from Cheltenham with Marchants or from Evesham with NN Cresswells, among other places, but check before travelling. It's at the far end of Station Road, towards the recently reopened Broadway station on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway, a preserved heritage line, and the last in a row of B&Bs. I arrived by bus from Cheltenham around 6:45 pm and got a good welcome. I was there to check out the car park and local walks ahead of a trip with friends later in the year, and managed to do both. I had a reasonably priced single room with a single bed, not an ensuite, but the bathroom was next door. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious, served between 8 and 9. They took my order so I got what I wanted without any waste.

The hostess was welcoming and very pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty and filling. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great view. Broadway's shops and bars are only a short walk away. Shame we stayed just one night, but we'll definitely be back.

Marianne and Georgia were so attentive, polite, kind, and sweet. The hotel girls also gave us all the information we needed about the area and tours. I stayed at the Brook House Hotel for eight days, and it was the best accommodation I've been to so far. The place was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is in a great location. I was enchanted by Broadway, the surrounding area, the Cotswolds, and the Brook House Hotel. I plan to return and would certainly recommend this accommodation.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely come again if we're in the area. Broadway is a lovely village, just a five-minute walk away, with a great selection of independent shops, though be ready to pay for that exclusivity. There are two charity shops as well, which is a bonus. Marian e and her helpers were very welcoming when we arrived. Our rooms were clean, in order, and cozy for late October. We spent one night in room no5, the family room with two extra single beds, then moved at our suggestion to room no4, a double, so another guest's extended family could stay. Both rooms were lovely, though the shower in the second room was a little tricky to get right. Breakfast was hearty: fruit juice, cereal, cooked breakfast, and toast, with more toast, juice, tea, and coffee offered. We preordered each day. My poached eggs on toast order came as a full English breakfast on the second morning, but it wasn't a problem and was corrected the next morning. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, along with cookies, a nice touch, and individual bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel if needed.

The old-fashioned welcome and decor, a roomy bedroom, and an excellent breakfast made this B&B an easy five-star choice for me. It's less than a five-minute walk from a spectacularly gorgeous Worcestershire village, with fascinating shops and a charming steam railway nearby.
