The Filly Inn

We stopped in out of the rain after parking and walking around, and the relaxed atmosphere was lovely, with soft blues and jazz playing quietly in the background. It seems well managed, with no rush or minimum spend, and the prices cover a range of budgets. I was able to look through the menus and get my dog used to the place without any pressure to order, though the food sounded so good that we ended up ordering more. The dishes come in sizes for small, regular, or large appetites. There are healthy options, including vegetarian, vegan, and fish dishes, plus treats, and a herb garden. It feels like a relaxed, classy period building with a bit of a Texas or Georgia feel. The front-of-house team were genuinely warm, quick, helpful, and lovely with my dog. It would suit someone on their own, meeting a friend, or a couple on a date. Families were there earlier at busier times. Service was 10/10 when I timed it around my dog’s needs.

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the place had a lovely atmosphere. We stopped at this pub on the way to a weekend in Lymington. The menu had plenty to choose from, and each dish was served nicely with a little extra on the side that showed the chef’s skill. Good value, too.

We brought our two dogs for lunch on our first visit and got a warm welcome and lovely, friendly service. On our second trip we came back for dinner, and the welcome was just as nice. The food and service were brilliant, and Charlotte was great. Dogs are welcome throughout the Filly Inn, and we’ll definitely return. Highly recommend.

Martin, the Manager, and his team made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived for our overnight stay. The room was lovely, and the whole place felt comfortable and welcoming. We had lunch, dinner, and breakfast there, and Brooke, the Chef, deserves a special thank you for the delicious, high-quality food. We’ll definitely be back.
