Hanbury Turn

There's plenty of room to sit, an outdoor seating area, and a recently refurbished interior. The staff are really friendly and know their ales. The beer and cider selection is great, and they do freshly made cobs and homemade corned beef pie. There's a dartboard, good Covid procedures, and an open fire in winter. Definitely worth a visit.

It's a bit of a walk from the train station, though you can catch a bus straight here. I had a Sunburst IPA and scratchings for £5.40. The ale was very good, but I thought the scratchings were a little expensive. Looking forward to coming back for another quality ale, and hopefully a cob in the small garden if the weather allows.

A lovely, proper pub with decent beer for my husband. I asked for a pot of tea and a pleasant young man served it. We were staying nearby at Landmark Lock Cottage and came back another day. The pub doesn't serve food, but lists cobs and similar at lunchtime.

My wife and I spent four nights at this lovely pub while we were going to a music festival down the road. The room was quiet and lovely, and the shower was great. We liked the bar downstairs too. They only did rolls for food, but that didn't matter. We'd definitely stay again.
