The rooms felt cozy and tidy, and ours came with a modern TV and Netflix. We were a little cold, but the staff brought us an extra heater and were friendly and accommodating throughout. The hotel was great, in a lovely spot near Brecon, and has plenty of character. I think it may be nominated for an award, and it certainly deserves one. Highly recommend!

We booked for a week, enjoyed it so much that we added a few more days. Our canopy bed room had a delightful ensuite, and the accommodation wing is set away from the bar, so it was peaceful at night. The Griffin Inn's front gets plenty of views, so I posted a side view that shows the accommodation better. The continental breakfast was lovely every morning, and they even got Marmite in especially for me. The staff were very helpful and happy to try to accommodate different requests, so don't hesitate to ask. We also enjoyed the fish and chips special at lunch, plus the pizza. I had already eaten some of the fish and chips before I thought to take a photo. The traditional looking bar has current drinks and cocktails. We mostly had IPAs and fruit ciders while chatting with friendly locals from the village. The background music stayed quiet enough for conversation. Horse brasses, fishing rods and casts of past catches reflect the Wye Valley's scenery and fishing heritage, and there are log burners when it gets chilly.

There were seven of us for dinner on Friday evening. The pub had a great atmosphere, and the staff were really friendly. We all enjoyed the food and drinks. Five stars 👍

We found the Griffin Inn after our toddler became unwell and we had to stop before getting halfway through a four-hour drive. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. If you're looking for somewhere to stay, eat, or spend your money in mid Wales, this place should be high on your list.

The pub felt very dark and unwelcoming inside. I only came in for a drink and paid £6 for a non-alcoholic cider. It costs £1.35 at Morrisons, or £3.50 for a four-pack. No wonder pubs are shutting down. Disgusting.
