The house was a great size and made it easy to get out and see lots of places around Northumberland. It was clean and really comfortable, and being able to bring our little dog was a lovely bonus. We had a fantastic week and can’t wait to come back.

There are castles and plenty of other places to visit nearby, and you can head to the neighbouring towns for more amenities. The village itself has few, though. The place was spacious and very well equipped, with the beach and a park for dog walks close by. A lovely spot for a break.

Alnwick Castle and the Lindisfarne and Farne Islands are close by, making this a handy base for North Northumberland’s attractions. There’s plenty of room, and it’s well appointed, so it works well for two families.

It’s warm and cosy, and I’d recommend it for families. There’s a lovely living area and two bedrooms on each floor, with a bathroom downstairs and another upstairs. The house is beautiful inside and out, with a lovely veranda and a stunning balcony.

This was our third visit and we still love it. It’s a clean, nicely presented place to stay, and a great base for exploring further afield.
