We were seven adults staying over Christmas, and the cottage fitted us perfectly. It was spotless, with really comfortable beds. The location is brilliant: when the weather broke, we drove to Barrow and Ulverston. In spring or summer it would also make a great base for exploring the Lake District.

Warm and spacious, and ideally placed for the village centre, just a short walk away.

The kids had games and DVDs to keep them busy, and the Wi-Fi was good. The cottage was clean and tidy, with a couple of nice pubs nearby and a good playground just off the village square.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped, this lovely house is a convenient distance from various attractions. The village is lovely too.
