There’s plenty to do here, from darts and table football to a great games selection. Jake also made distinctive cocktails and was happy to help with whatever we asked. The staff were brilliant, and the atmosphere made the place. I’d happily send anyone here.

We’d had a pretty rough start to our hen do evening in Bruton, but the people at the Blue Ball welcomed us right in. They helped turn the night around and were so lovely to our whole group, glitter outfits and all. Couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome.

A lovely way to wrap up a day exploring the area. The pub has charming rooms and friendly bartenders, and we enjoyed some really good cocktails. It felt just right for the two of us, though it would work for a small group too. We missed the live music and quiz nights, but they have those as well. Bruton always seems to have unusual places like this.

There are two different spots inside, a roomy bar for beer, wine and snacks, then a snug area with a welcoming wood burner. The Blue Ball has loads of character, and the team made me feel at home with cheerful service. It’s my favourite place for a drink and good company around Bruton. Cheers to Piers and Amelia and everyone there.

For our daughter’s wedding weekend in July 2017, we booked every room and were glad to have the whole family under one roof. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast had all the familiar choices you’d expect at a larger hotel. The staff made us feel welcome and took care of everything we requested, including pay-per-view TV so we could catch the England rugby match on the wedding morning. I’d recommend this arrangement to any group.
