The Long Range

Brian and Lorraine were very welcoming, and the hotel was clean, including the bedroom. It’s a very quiet spot, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from Budleigh Salterton. There aren’t many places to eat nearby. On Sundays, the only one open is the Indian restaurant, which was very nice. Breakfast at the hotel was very nice, though they don’t serve evening meals. There’s a small bar with bottled beer and spirits, but it was quiet and didn’t get much use. The TV in the room was small, not smart or high definition. The devan bed could do with an update.

Brian made me feel very welcome, and the breakfast was brilliant. I had a clean, comfortable single room looking out onto the calming garden. It’s a pleasant 10-minute walk down to the beach. Loved it, thanks!

Brian and his wife Lorraine made us feel very welcome during our short stay at the Long Reach. Our spacious bedroom was well presented, and breakfast was served fresh and hot, and tasted great. They also offer fruit and pears poached from the owners’ garden. There’s a small bar serving bottled ales, lagers and spirits. We enjoyed our time there, and the Long Reach makes a great base for exploring Devon and beyond. I’d recommend it to anyone looking in the area.
