The Chestnuts Holiday Cottages

The fishing was great, and we had a lovely, peaceful weekend in a lovely cottage with lovely hosts. The fishing pegs could use a little TLC. It's great for dog walks too. 10/10, we'll definitely be back soon 😊

Our small cottage was peaceful, clean and tidy, and had just the facilities we needed for two people and our dog. It's in an ideal spot for Skegness, Chapel and other East Coast areas, with shops and takeaways nearby. We'd recommend it and will definitely go back!

We only booked two nights for a family break and wished we'd stayed longer! The farm had plenty to do already: animal watching, a marked trail, a games room and a tennis court 🎾. The house was cosy with lots of room to relax indoors and out. Every room was clean, with fresh towels and plenty of toilet rolls. The visitors' books went back years, and the local recommendations were a lovely touch. There are plenty of pots and pans, and some board games and DVDs in a cupboard, but bring your own toiletries and food. It's easy to reach, with an hourly local bus from the station or a five-minute drive. Can't recommend it enough for families, outdoorsy people or animal lovers!

This was our third stay at chestnuts cottages, and we're already looking forward to our fourth next year. We're a group of anglers using it as a base to visit the area's many ponds and lakes each day. Everyone got record weights this year at Hill View Lakes, which we highly recommend. Oak cottage had everything we needed, and the village is only a short walk away, with plenty of pubs for evening meals and entertainment. There are also takeaways if you want to eat tea in the cottage.
