We went without a car and got around easily by train and local bus. The Globe is a few minutes from the train station on the South Wales mainline and from bus stops, with pubs and restaurants nearby. A short walk brings you to Burry Port Marina and the Millennium Coastal path, with great routes for walking and cycling. It's an ideal spot if, like us, you don't have your own transport. The breakfast was tasty and generous. There's a small breakfast room where you can also eat a takeaway in the evening, handy if you're on a budget and want chips from one of the nearby shops. We slept really well for both nights and left with full bellies and good memories. We stayed for two nights at the end of May. The Globe has plenty of curb appeal, with a bright exterior and a colourful courtyard cottage garden, and our host gave us just as warm a welcome. Inside it was spotless. Though it's an older building, it had all the basics, plenty of plug sockets including USB ports, and lots of space for clothes. The decor felt fun and tasteful, modern but still right for a seaside B&B. There are quite a lot of steps, including between the bathroom and bedroom in room 4. With the age and layout of the building, anyone with mobility issues may want to check with the owner before booking, as it may not suit them. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone else.

We stayed for a couple of nights and felt very welcome. The room was nice, and the locally sourced full English was a lovely way to start the day. We'd definitely stay again.

My son and I spent two weeks here, trying out every room they had. Mike and Margaret made us feel at home from the start. The rooms were immaculate, with en-suite bathrooms, and they cooked the breakfasts to perfection, accommodating all our needs. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Burry Port. Thanks to you both for a lovely time.

Burry Port is a real find. The room was nice, breakfast was good and everyone was very friendly. I’ll probably come back.
