The Ashburnham Hotel

My grandmother joined our family meal on Saturday evening. She's worked in restaurant and hotel catering and spent many years as a chef, and she agreed that the new menu had good variety and something for everyone. We all chose different dishes to try it out, and the food was delicious and nicely presented. The staff were very attentive too. We look forward to coming again and would absolutely recommend it.

Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was. It was stunning, well maintained and thoughtfully laid out, with every detail feeling just right. Caroline and Stacy were organised, responsive and creative throughout, and made the day feel stress free. Their calm approach and attention to detail put us at ease. The wedding food exceeded our expectations: every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. Service was quick and professional, and everyone got their hot food at the same time. We're so grateful to the chef and his team, and to everyone who made our wedding unforgettable. Highly recommend the venue and team.

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch, but I was disappointed when I checked the receipt at home. They'd charged £12.95 for my two-year-old's “meal.” I'd only asked for a spare plate with some mash, carrots and peas for him to try, and he didn't have any meat. Most places charge no more than £4 for a spare plate of vegetables.

We went to The Ash Bar & Grill to celebrate my son's birthday, and the team made it a lovely occasion. Stacey and Caroline welcomed us and looked after us so well. The Sunday lunch was delicious, the service was exceptional, and all the staff were fantastic. The new menu is outstanding. A special thanks to Ellis, Harry, Jonathan and Stacey. Caroline, Harry and Stacey singing Happy Birthday was such a lovely surprise and made the day extra special. The Ash Bar & Grill goes above and beyond, and Caroline and Chris deserve credit as the new owners. We can't wait to return!
