Kendall Lodge

The host is wonderful, and the place itself is just brilliant, absolutely fantastic and really well equipped. Five stars plus, I'd recommend it 100%.

There was plenty of room and the bed was comfortable. The shower was really nice, too. The kitchen had what we needed to make food, apart from an oven. A great place to stay, highly recommended.

Simon even came to rescue us from a large spider at around 10.30 pm, and the hosts were welcoming and helpful throughout. The chalet was quiet, spotless, roomy and well equipped, with two double beds in chalet no. 2, one in its own room. It had a large TV, fridge, large double hob and microwave. A good table and chairs, wardrobe, sideboard, bedside tables and lamps meant lots of storage and cosy lighting. There were a couple of small decor niggles, with paintwork that needed touching up and a little hole beside the toilet. The setting was lovely and peaceful, with a huge garden, and it was great value and well placed for local attractions. We'd definitely stay again.

We only had one night, but I'd happily return for a longer stay. The lodge was very clean and comfortable, and equipped well for self-catering. It was such a peaceful location, and in the morning we even spotted 3 muntjac outside. Lorraine was a friendly, accommodating host.
