All Saints Hotel

We’d return for the hotel and spa, but not for dinner at The View. The reception and spa were excellent, with great service that made us feel welcome. Our room was lovely, and lunch downstairs at the lodge was very good, both the food and service. Dinner upstairs was a letdown compared with the rest. The food seemed cheap, mediocre and not very tasty. The waiter behind the bar may have been new, or simply not very interested in the job. Our first drinks took at least half an hour and arrived with the starters. When I asked for another while collecting the starter plates, it never came, even after our mains arrived. I saw other tables wait a long time for drinks from the same waiter, or not get them before their food. A food runner who was clearing tables brought me one within two minutes.

Our guests are still talking about the beautiful venue and how smoothly the day went. We’re so grateful for all the care, hard work and attention that made our wedding special, and we’d highly recommend the place to anyone wanting a memorable, low-stress day. From our first visit, we felt at ease, and that continued right through the wedding. The setting was gorgeous, and everything came together even better than we’d pictured. Rosie deserves a huge shout-out. She was incredible throughout, took care of every detail and kept the day running smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble, and her calm, friendly manner helped a lot when things felt overwhelming.

The pool had more of a YMCA or public gym feel, but it was still a great day for the price. I booked the all-day spa and had a fantastic massage and facial. The atmosphere was awesome, and everything looked updated and extremely clean. Lunch was perfect, with an outstanding portion size.

We stayed between Christmas and New Year, which might be why the hotel was quiet. The receptionist gave us a lovely welcome and showed us to a clean, quiet, well-equipped room. The pool was nice, though the gym was busy, and the lounge worked well for evening drinks or a morning coffee. Breakfast was good. I chose the cooked option, which was freshly made and a healthy portion without being over the top. I’d gladly stay again when visiting family in Bury at Christmas.
