We spent four nights here while visiting our son, who’s stationed at Lakenheath. If you fly in, you’ll need a rental car to stay here. We felt very welcome and loved the cottage and tranquil surroundings. The nearby preserve is lovely. Highly recommend!

Lark Lodge had everything we needed and was comfortable and warm. We had a lovely stay despite the wind and rain. The owner responded quickly when we needed help. The Nature Reserve is so close that we went for a walk every morning, and it’s a perfect base for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk.

It’s wonderfully quiet, and they have local fresh eggs and honey. There are lakes and plenty of wildlife, so it’s ideal if you enjoy walking in nature. On a cold day, you can just light the log fire, sit back and enjoy the peace.

The accommodation is beautiful, and the area is so peaceful. We walked around the lakes and went to Bury. We spotted deer and rabbits, and even heard a tawny owl late at night.

The cottages are roomy and well equipped, with plenty of wildlife and nature around. I've stayed twice now and loved it both times. I'll be back.
