Three Kings

The kindest thing has happened to us since we started living in the UK. My husband and I had come for a Sunday roast on someone's recommendation, and it was easily the best we'd eaten since arriving here. The servers were so friendly, and we had a lovely time. As we were getting ready to leave and asked for the bill, we found another couple at the next table had already paid it. If that lovely couple somehow reads this, you warmed our hearts today. Thank you! ❤️

My dad recommended this place, and we were glad we tried it. The Sunday lunch was lovely, with a great range of desserts, and both the food and service were incredible. Friendly staff too. We'll definitely be back!

We only stayed one night, but the food was the highlight. The menu wasn't extensive, though it had some lovely options, and all four of us chose different meals. My fish pie was delicious. The food was such a high standard that we wished we lived closer so we could return. Breakfast was included and just as good. The Three Kings has clearly had a lot of care put into it. It’s recently been modernised and is lovely, with bright, very comfortable rooms. A nice little touch was fresh milk in the fridge for tea or coffee instead of the usual long-life stuff.

Very, very disappointing lunch on a Wednesday. We hadn't booked, and the main course took a long time even though it wasn't busy. My chunky chips were nearly burnt, and the menu said mushy peas but what we got were crushed garden peas. The hot white chocolate was basically hot milk. For dessert I ordered Bakewell tart with custard, which cost over £7. The custard came in a jug barely bigger than a thimble and was like yellow water. The tart was barely warm and stone cold in the middle. We asked for a hot one, waited about 20 minutes, and it still didn't arrive. We had it taken off the bill and left. I wouldn't recommend it.
