The countryside right outside was lovely for a walk, and there are useful local amenities nearby. Richard gave me a very friendly welcome, showed me around and made sure I was settled. It's clear they're happy to help with any questions or problems. My room was spotless, well presented and had every detail taken care of. Breakfast was great, with fresh local produce and fresh milk, and there were even books and DVDs to enjoy. I stayed two nights while in the area for work and paid a very fair rate. I felt I got more than my money's worth and will absolutely stay again.

The bedding was lovely and so comfortable that I slept really well, despite the very sad reason for our visit. Richard was patient and helpful after I spectacularly messed up my original booking. Breakfast was fantastic too. Faultless stay, and I'll definitely come back. Hopefully next time I'll get to try some of the lovely local walks. Thank you.

Loe Lodge sits in a rural setting with stables nearby and has a very traditional feel. The room furniture was high quality, the bed was very large, and the bedding and towels were excellent. Breakfast was delicious: cereal or porridge, fruit and yoghurt, toast, then a full English or kippers, all with locally sourced ingredients. There was as much tea, coffee and juice as we wanted, and nothing was too much trouble.

Loe Lodge deserves all five stars. It's in a beautiful location, immaculately clean and superbly appointed. We don't have breakfast, though I'm sure it's just as good as everything else here.

Breakfast had loads of delicious options, and our room was beautiful. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived, with the staff going out of their way to help and never making anything seem like a bother. It’s in a lovely spot too. One of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in, and I’d happily come back if I’m in the area.
