Rockingham Lodge ended up being really good value, and the host was happy to store our two bikes. We were two friends in the Peak District for a long cycling weekend, and wanted a village stay near pubs, so after comparing B&Bs and hotels this seemed like the best fit. It was comfortable and the host was very welcoming. Breakfast was good in both quality and quantity. We tried porridge, pastries and traditional English breakfasts during our stay.

The bed was really comfortable, and the room had plenty of space. It was a nice surprise to come back from our walk and find the bed had been made. Jill was kind and accommodating, and breakfast was lovely. There are local pubs and restaurants with dinner options for different budgets.

The rooms were well stocked, with super comfortable beds, and you could choose what you wanted for breakfast the next morning. The owners were brilliant and helpful. It made for a lovely quiet weekend with some walking, and I was very impressed. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Tideswell is a lovely village, and Rockingham Lodge is a great spot. It was warm and comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. It was also handy having two rooms, both with ensuite bathrooms.

Gill made us feel so welcome, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The room was spotless, breakfast had a good choice, and we got information about places to eat in the evenings. Can't wait to book another stay.
