I stopped in for a bite on my first visit today. The pork and apple ciabatta was really tasty, served nicely with a bright side salad and coleslaw. Nice setting, friendly service, and a superb meal from a really good pub menu. I’ll be back.

We’ve been staying nearby in our campervan and have come in each evening to unwind by the fire. It’s a calm atmosphere, dogs are warmly welcomed, and the dishes we tried were delicious, generous portions, and very well priced.

We came for one night to round off a week in Paris. The room was lovely when we arrived in the afternoon, and we had lunch as well as dinner. The food was outstanding, and the service was friendly and professional throughout. Would definitely recommend.

A really beautiful interior, lovely staff, and breakfast included, all for a very reasonable price for such a good inn. The pub and meals were fantastic too. It’s ideally placed by Hartington, Buxton, and Bakewell, with Thor's cave about a 10-minute drive away. I’ll definitely return.

They found us a quiet spot so our dog could settle, and the pub was very welcoming and dog-friendly. We had dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was good value with plenty of choice; dinner was average pub food, though the chips were the best I’ve ever tasted.
