I booked this place because it was close to where our daughter was camping, so we could meet up. The village pub turned out to be a pleasant surprise, with nice beer, great food and friendly staff. Our room was small but clean and comfortable, with all the extras you’d expect, and we slept well. The beer garden has great views. It’s off the beaten track and a great value stay.

We came across this great pub while walking in the area. The staff were friendly, the food was good and the beer was great. There’s an outdoor seating area with a view. I didn’t stay overnight, but it’s on my shortlist for a future visit.

After a day riding through the Peak District, this was a peaceful place to unwind. The Queen Anne sits in a quiet, scenic village with beautiful surroundings. Our room was clean and cosy, and being in a separate building from the pub gave us some extra privacy. Dinner and breakfast, which was included, were excellent, with a good range of choices. I also appreciated being able to stream Netflix in the room during some downtime. A great spot if you’re passing through or want a quiet base for exploring the Peaks.
