The room was clean and simple, right in the centre of Buxton, and although they're "pub" rooms, you don't hear pub noise. I stayed with my son, and the front is a club. My main gripe, besides the price, is that clearer directions for reaching the rooms without going through the pub would be helpful. There was no parking, so remember to include that cost too. I paid a lot for one night, though maybe I'm out of touch with current prices. It's a standard clean room at the end of the day. Around twenty or thirty quid less would make it feel like better value and earn a higher rating.

The room was great, with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and Sky TV with all the channels. The hot bath was a real bonus after I got caught in the rain on the Peaks. Staff were friendly, and I'd definitely return. On Friday I was woken at 5am by the used glass bottles being emptied into the waste lorry, but it didn't spoil the stay. Nice place.

At 6:30am I realized I might have locked myself out, and the landlord was so kind about it. I apologized a lot, but he just told me not to worry and let me straight back in. Sorry for the early wake-up, and thanks for being so quick and making me feel less like a muppet! I’ll definitely stay again, with my key firmly in hand.

The room was really clean and breakfast was good. There’s no parking provided, so you’ll need to find a space on the street or pay for one. The bar’s a bonus, with good beer.

We slept really well, and couldn’t hear any noise from the pub in the apartment block. The place is modern, spotless and right in the centre of Buxton. Everyone was warm and friendly throughout our stay, and the pub had some great beers. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.
