Bryn Min Manton Bach

We left valuable equipment at Bryn Min Manton Penthouse, a Sykes Cottages property, by mistake, and noticed on checkout day. Since it was a bank holiday, we left a voicemail straight away. I accept that leaving it behind was my fault, but the equipment is worth more than £500 and needed for work. Getting it back has been an awful experience. For over two weeks we've spent hours on hold, had emails ignored and WhatsApp chats closed without a proper reply. Both the lead booker and I have struggled to get a clear answer. I even offered to drive seven hours round trip to collect it. After eight days, we were told they had found it and would charge £30 to post it back. We immediately asked where to pay and what address details they needed. Ten days later, we still have no payment details, postage date, or tracking information, despite trying to contact them daily. Calls seem to mean a wait of about 40 minutes at any time of day. Once they confirmed the item was found, this should have been straightforward. Instead, more than two weeks on, we still haven't got it back and I'm looking into formal next steps. The aftercare and communication have been unacceptable, and after this experience I'd be extremely cautious about booking through Sykes again.
