The Padarn Hotel

Free parking made things easy, and the hotel’s close to the bus station, shops and restaurants. The Llanberis Path is within walking distance, so getting back after our Snowdon hike was straightforward. There’s also a waterfall attraction nearby. We stayed two nights and had a really good time. The reception team were helpful and friendly, including sharing useful weather updates for the hike. The views and relaxed feel were lovely too. I’d definitely recommend it.

Our group of ten had three family rooms, each with plenty of room for four middle-aged men on a hiking trip. Even parking the minibus was easy. Everyone we dealt with, from reception and the bar to housekeeping, did a great job. Breakfast and dinner were good, even on a very busy weekend. It felt much better than a three-star hotel, and was brilliant value with great people.

We enjoyed it enough to add an extra night, and would happily recommend the Padarn Hotel for a Snowdon trip or a relaxing break. Dave the manager and the bar staff deserve a special mention for going out of their way to make us feel welcome. We arrived the night before the Mount Snowdon challenge with our 11-year-old son and our dog. The staff were warm, attentive and helpful the whole time. Our room was clean and comfortable for a good night's sleep, and the restaurant food was fresh and delicious, clearly prepared with care.

After climbing yr wydffa, we arrived back about half an hour after checkout and asked if we could use a bathroom to change. The staff kindly gave us keys to a shower room so we could get properly warmed up. That kindness helped turn a trip that seemed set for chaos into a great experience. Before booking, they let us see the room and handed over the keys straight away. It was clean, well kept and had what we needed for the night. The staff were spot on, especially the manager and front of house team. I can’t recommend this place enough.
